China's Chemical Industry Sees Structural Improvement in 2009

China's special chemical manufacturing industry has by output value overtaken the basic chemical raw material manufacturing industry to become the biggest sub-sector of China's chemical industry in 2009, indicating that the country's chemical industry has made progress in technological upgrading.
In 2009, the special chemical manufacturing industry realized an output value of 963.32 billion yuan (US$141.109 billion), up 16.8 per cent year on year, according to the China Petroleum & Chemical Industry Association.
